United Plantations’ sustainable palm oil business covers plantation activities, research and development, milling and refining operations. Through our integrated supply chain, we guarantee our customers transparency and high quality products traceable to their source.

We acknowledge that sustainability is a journey, which requires continuous commitment and finding the right balance between conservation and development. For generations we have with pride taken an active role in driving sustainability within agriculture in South East Asia. This commitment to operate responsibly made us the world’s first RSPO certified sustainable palm oil producer in 2008.
OUR HISTORY
United Plantations was founded in 1906 by Mr Aage Westenholz, a Danish Engineer and Artillery Officer, who saw great possibilities in the fertile soils of Malaya. With talent and initiative, Westenholz and his cousin Commander Grut laid the cornerstone to a century-long Danish-Malaysian plantation adventure.
Today we remain a family-oriented company determined to uphold the founders’ core values of discipline, integrity, innovation and care.
